By downloading or using CORTEX you agree to these Terms with XPERTIZE LTD (“we”, “us”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use CORTEX for entertainment and personal insight on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable store terms.

3. Entertainment only

IQ estimates, brain scores, and training results are for entertainment and self-curiosity. They are not clinical, diagnostic, or medical advice and must not be used to assess dementia, learning disabilities, employment fitness, or any health condition.

4. Subscriptions & billing

Paid features may be offered via auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices, trial length, and renewal terms are shown in the store purchase sheet before you confirm. Manage or cancel in your store account settings. Billing disputes are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Refunds are subject to the relevant store’s rules.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not reverse engineer, abuse, scrape, or disrupt the App or related services.
• Do not misrepresent CORTEX results as professional, clinical, or employment assessments.
• Do not use the App unlawfully or in a way that harms others.

6. Intellectual property

The App, branding, content, and related materials are owned by XPERTIZE LTD or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

7. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XPERTIZE LTD is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

9. Changes & termination

We may update the App or these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
